Pompeii Artebus

Pompeii Artebus

From Dec. 4, 2021 and until Jan. 17, the Pompeii Archaeological Park has established a shuttle service connecting the better-known site of Pompeii to the archaeological sites of Stabia, Boscoreale, Oplontis, and Quisisana, sites also rich in history and archaeological interest.

Often off the tourist track due to their location, they are now easily accessible thanks to the new shuttle service "Pompeii Artebus", desired by the director of the Pompeii Archaeological Park, Gabriel Zuchtriegel, in collaboration with the Campania Region.

Starting from Piazza Esedra, in front of one of the entrances to Pompeii Park, the new minibuses provide access to the rustic villa of Boscoreale Villa Regina, the imperial villa of Poppea at Oplontis, the otium villas of Stabiae and the Libero D'Orsi Archaeological Museum, located in the majestic Reggia di Quisisana of Castellammare di Stabia.

The service, in this first phase free of charge, will operate every day except Tuesdays until January 17, 2022, and then resume from April 1 to July 4, 2022, and can be used by anyone in possession of an entrance ticket to the Pompeii circuit sites, MyPompeii Card or Artecard membership.

Two different routes planned: one from Pompeii to the Villa Regina in Boscoreale and Oplontis, and a second different route connecting Pompeii with Villa San Marco, Villa Arianna, and the Archaeological Museum of Stabia.

A long-awaited project that combines transportation and culture and finally allows for the involvement of the Vesuvius area and the enhancement and promotion, in a broader tourism key, of so-called peripheral sites.

Information on schedules, routes and departures is available on the official website of Pompeii Archaeological Park.
