Pompeii and Vesuvius: guided tour from Naples

A day dedicated to discovering two of the Region's most evocative sites. We will take care of everything, from transfers to entrance fees, guided tours to lunch.

Useful Information

Departing from Naples, a place to be specified at the time of booking, we will reach the excavations of Pompeii to take a plunge into the past and spend about 2 hours in the Archaeological Park with a licensed local guide who will accompany us to discover the history of the city, its inhabitants and its tragic end during the eruption of 79 AD.

We will start in the Theater district, continue along decumani and cardini, visiting workshops, some of the most beautiful domus, as well as the baths, and then arrive at the great Forum, which has a unique view of Vesuvius. 

We will visit the Granaries in which we will see casts of Pompeians, then move on to the basilica and the Temple of Apollo.

At the end of the visit we will stop for lunch break with pizza and drink included.

Still accompanied by our staff, we will continue to the slopes of Mount Vesuvius to climb up to an altitude of 1,000 meters. 

After accessing the trail, you will begin your ascent to the Crater at about 1,200 meters above sea level. 

An absolutely unforgettable and evocative experience, in addition to visiting one of the most dangerous Volcanoes in the world, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and its Islands. 

Following the path backwards we will rejoin the bus to return comfortably to Naples at the end of an unforgettable day. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes! 

 

In case of bad weather or force majeure, the climb may be suspended by the volcanological guides.

Meeting point: 

Hotels pick up: at all hotels and B&Bs in Naples. The facility must be indicated at the time of booking by giving the name and address.

Central Station pick up: at the entrance of the Terminus hotel, located immediately outside the Naples FFSS Central Station on the left side. Our staff will be waiting with a name sign.

Suitable for children: Yes, with adult supervision. Children 0-3 years old do not pay
