A fascinating tour that will introduce you to the archaeological site of the ancient and wealthy town buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., like the nearby and more famous Pompeii. 

Useful Information

The guided tour of the Herculaneum excavations is a 2-hour walking tour. 

A licensed local guide will lead you to discover the most important archaeological evidence of the city: from theancient beach where more than 300 people died in search of safety, we will show you the ancient Roman Baths , passing by the imposingterrace dedicated to Nonio Balbo, we will go on to visit the House of the Deer, the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, and the Samnite House, all while walking along the ancient cobblestone streets dotted with stores and tall buildings. 

The tour will end at the exhibition in the boat pavilion and the newly opened gold exhibition.
